Behaviour of alkali-activated concrete at elevated temperatures: A critical review

چکیده

Alkali-activated concrete (AAC) is recognised as a novel sustainable construction material to substitute Portland cement with superior thermal and mechanical performance. However, AAC would suffer significant deterioration when subjected elevated temperatures due different damage mechanisms, including incompatibility caused by coefficients between matrix aggregates, pore pressure build-up phase transformation. This paper presents systematic comprehensive review on the behaviour of types such alkali-activated fly ash, slag, metakaolin ash-slag systems at in terms stability microstructural evolution well The effective strategies for improving high-temperature resistance are reviewed discussed from perspectives matrix, aggregates fibre incorporation, special focus how these can tackle mechanisms. summarises recent advances field identifies remaining challenges opportunities future research.
